Orkhon waterfall

The Orkhon river he is called "UlaanTsutgalan" (Red Flow) among locals because of its water appearing to be reddish in color because of high soil erosion up the stream. It is even more visible after heavy rainfall in the area. The waterfall is located in Bat-Ulzii soum of Ovorkhangai province, which is not very far from main tourist attractions of the province such as Karakorum and Tuvkhun Monastery.

The waterfall is ten meters wide, twenty meters high in rainy summers, but not as much in dry summers. There are tourist services in high seasons that provide life vests and inflatable boats to allow visitors get near to the bottom of the waterfall.
