Written in "Mongolyn Nuuts Tovchoo” (The Secret History of Mongols), it is widely accepted that the junction of Onon and Balj rivers in Dadal soum of Khentii province is where the Chinggis Khaan was born. Dadal has beautiful area of lakes, rivers, green grasslands, forests and log huts.
Village’s south gate has statues and steles of Mongol warriors, and some more sights are associated with the great Khaan. Apart from it, the village is a place where Buryat and Khalkh ethnic groups live, so one can observe the subcultural ditterence of one nation.
