Overview: This classic itinerary will help you learn in depth about unique culture and traditions of Mongolian nomads, as well as the rich history and natural beauty of the country in just 8 days. Drive through diverse landscapes of central Mongolia and visit Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Great Mongol Empire. Marvel at the biggest equestrian statue of the Chinggis Khaan and ride a horse through green hills of Terelj National Park.

Itinerary

<span> Day 1 </span> Arrival

Upon arrival your arrival our professional team will welcome you and transfer to Ulaanbaatar city for welcome dinner. Then check-in to hotel and rest for the day. Overnight at hotel in Ulaanbaatar. (D)

<span> Day 2 </span> Ulaanbaatar - Chinggis Statue Complex - Terelj National Park (250 km)

Following breakfast, transfer to Terelj National Park. On the way visit Chinggis Khan Statue Complex-the biggest equestrian statue in the world. After exploration, transfer to Terelj National Park. Check-in to ger camp and rest until lunch. After having lunch at the camp start the tour including Terelj National Park’s symbol “Turtle rock” and take a short hiking to Aryabal Meditation Center for magnificent view of the valley. Continue your tour visiting nomadic family and experience their unique lifestyle and enjoy horseback riding for about 1 hour. In the evening enjoy Mongolian traditional cuisine for dinner and rest. <span> Day 3 </span> Terelj National Park - Ulaanbaatar (60 km)

After having breakfast at the resort transfer to Ulaanbaatar city and upon arrival visit some of the city highlights such as National Museum of Mongolia, Sukhbaatar Square and Gandan Monastery. In the evening enjoy Mongolian traditional folk concert. Dinner and transfer to your hotel. (B, L, D)

Today the tour starts in direction of Karakorum - ancient capital city of Mongolia. On the way, have a lunch near Burd – “Elsen Tasarkhai” sand dunes. After lunch walk on the sand dunes and try camel riding for about 30 mins. After tour at the sand dunes continue driving through Mongolian beautiful countryside, arrive in Karakorum ancient capital city of Mongol Empire. Upon arrival visit Khaadiin Khaad hill and observe the magnificent scenery of Orkhon Valley on top of hill. Orkhon Valley is significant place which is registered as World Heritage cultural site. Have a dinner and stay overnight in “ger” resort. (B, L, D)

<span> Day 5 </span> Karakorum/ Bilge Khan Monument Complex (140 km)

In the morning start the tour in Karakorum and visit the symbolic ruins, Erdenezuu Monastery, and museum of Karakorum. After lunch at the camp, start the tour of Bilge Khan’s Monument, known as Khushuu Tsaidam Memorial complex or Kul Tigen inscriptions. There you will see artifacts left from the Turkic era such as Bilge Khan’s the famous “Golden Crown” and Kul Tigen inscriptions and many more. After exploration drive back to Karakorum. Have a dinner and stay overnight in “ger” resort. (B, L, D)

<span> Day 6 </span> Karakorum - Mongol Nomadic show - Khustai National Reserve (300 km)

Following breakfast transfer to Nomadic Show camp and have lunch. After lunch participate in Mongol Nomadic show which you will experience one day of Mongolian nomad family. You will be able to see nomadic family camping, riding Yak cart, producing dairy products, producing felt and leather products and dress up in Mongolian traditional costumes. After the show drive to Khustai National Reserve where you will see Takhi, one of the last wild horse species in the world, in its natural habitat. The best time to observe these wild horses is in the evening when they come down from the mountains to drink water from small river. After exploring transfer back to Mongol Nomadic camp and rest for the day. (B, L, D)

<span> Day 7 </span> Ulaanbaatar City tour (60km)

After breakfast at the camp transfer to Ulaanbaatar city and upon arrival visit some of the city highlights such as Zaisan Memorial Hill, Bogd Khaan winter palace museum and Zanabazar fine arts museum. In the afternoon do some shopping at Cashmere store and souvenir shop. Farewell dinner in fine-dine restaurant and stay overnight at the hotel. (B, L, D)

<span> Day 8 </span> Departure

Transfer to Chinggiss Khaan International Airport and conclude the tour.
