One of the natural beauties, this reserve is quite unique because it contains diverse ecosystems in its relatively small territory. Rivers running through vast steppes, with lakes and wet lands nurturing the lives of rare birds surrounded by high mountains is what people come for; to observe the natural harmony preserved in its original state. The reserve is located just 130 kms to the southeast of Ulaanbaatar city and closest place from city to observe Argali, rare wild sheep species in their natural habitat. It is also famously known as birth place of Mongolian esteemed poet and writer Natsagdorj, who often praised the unparalleled beauty of his home land.
