The Zanabazar museum of fine arts

The museum is named after The First Bogd Gegeen Zanabazar, Mongolian holy religious leader whose contribution to development of Mongolian fine art is considered invaluable. Although not very big in size, the museum exhibits around 20,000 objects in permanent collection that shows history of Mongolian art from pre-historic area through the early twentieth century. The museum also houses 50 invaluable artifacts which are considered National Treasure. If one takes interest in Mongolian art history there are various paintings, sculptor., a. even “Tsam dance” masks in the museum.
