Bogd Khaan’s winter palace is the only remaining one of the original four residences of eight Bogd Jebtsundamba who was the last religious leader of Mongolian and Tibetan Buddhism. It is built between 1893 and 1903, accommodated eighth Bogd Gegeen until his death in 1924, and became a museum later in 1961.
